KING Ice Bear Sharpening Stones?

I'm looking into purchasing Japanese watersones. I have noticed that KING brand has a line called Ice Bear, which is a completely synthetic material designed to mimic natural waterstones. Performance wise, how to the Ice Bears compare to the regular KING waterstones? (I ask this because the only waterstone I can find in the grit I want is an Ice Bear)
