Death penalty in britian?

what are your thoughts on bringing the death penalty back to britian? the latest news here is that a womans husband was virtually kicked to death by boys that are 16, 17, and 19 years of age, and all in front of his wife and children. there was no motive for this brutal attack. one of the lads got 19 years, and the other two less than that. the wife of the victim says that as far as justice goes, it should be "an eye for an eye".i may be wrong, but i think the last person to be hung in britian was ruth ellis in around 1962. what are your thoughts on capital punishment? the lady in question is appealing for the death penalty to be brought back. do you think this will ever happen?
